GOLF FINISHES 2ND IN REGENTS INVITATIONAL #3

Golf Finishes 2nd in Regents Invitational #3
On Monday, the boys and girls golf team participated in the Regents Invitational #3 at Grey Rock Golf Club. In the boys division, a total of 12 schools participated.

St. Michael’s finished in 2nd place, with a team score of 308, and were led by Harrison Knight ('25), who fired a 3-under par 69 to finish as 3rd place medalist. Harrison's day included 4 birdies and an eagle on the par-5 17th hole, topping off a great season thus far with his second top-5 finish.

Calvert Layne ('25) notched another top-10 finish, tied for 8th place with a score of 4-over 76, while Sonny Sciantarelli ('27) ended with a top-20 finish with a score of 9-over par 81. Beau Buehrle ('24) ended with a 10-over par 82, followed by Juan Pablo Resendiz ('24) with a 96. Coalter Daywood ('24) finished with a 103, and Lucas Walton ('24) finished with a 115.

In the girls division, a total of 9 schools participated. Once again, Viki Hernandez (‘27) represented St. Michael’s and carded a 103 for a top-20 finish in 20th place.

Next up for the Crusader golf team is the TAPPS District Championship at Lakecliff Country Club on April 22nd. Top-2 finishing teams from District and top-10 individuals advance to the TAPPS North Regional Championship in Fort Worth, on April 29th. TAPPS State Championships are May 6-7 in Glen Rose.
