On Monday, April 22nd the TAPPS 5A District 3 Championship was played at Shadow Glen Golf Course in Manor. As our representative for the girls team, Viki Hernandez ('27) finished in solo 2nd place to advance to the TAPPS 5A North Regional. A superb short game and steady play down the stretch allowed Viki to ease into punching her ticket to Regionals. Great job, Viki! On the boys team, the team was led by Sonny Sciantarelli ('27) with a calm and cool 75 (+3), which earned him 5th place medalist. While Sonny's day went fairly smooth, the team in general had a wild ride. A bumpy start began to settle down about midway through the round and the teams resiliency began to shine. As our players were finishing up on holes 16,17 an 18, a string of three birdies in a matter of five minutes solidified their spot in the TAPPS 5A North Regional next week in Fort Worth. Harrison Knight ('25) grinded out a 79 to finish as 7th place medalist, while Beau Buehrle ('24) finished in 8th. The team finished with a score of 319 – good enough to survive and advance. Calvert Layne ('25) and Nicholas Shilling ('25) also participated in the event this week. TAPPS 5A North Regional Championship is scheduled for Monday, April 29th at Hawks Creek Golf Course in Fort Worth....
