On Saturday, February 10, several varsity and junior varsity athletes on the boys and girls track and field teams participated in the St. Dominic Savio Relays held at Faith Academy in Marble Falls. Top-five placement in varsity events was recorded by Pierce Kovacs ('26) in the 100M (4th) and 200M (5th), Nick Hodapp ('27) in the 200M (3rd), William Talbot ('25) in the 110 Hurdles (3rd), Angel Cordova ('25) in the Long Jump (3rd), and Beckett Earley ('27) in the triple jump (5th). The varsity boys’ team also secured 3rd place in the Sprint Medley Relay and 4th place in the 4x400M. A top-five placement for boys JV events was recorded by Justin Thar ('27) in the 300M hurdles (3rd).
For the girls’ varsity, the top-five placement was recorded by Annabel Kadenacy ('27) in the 400M (5th) and by Claire Lawler ('24) in the 100M Hurdles (2nd), 300M Hurdles (1st), and high jump (4th). The girls JV also had top-five placements with Zoey Nanez ('27) in the 100M (3rd), Ruthie Zboril ('27) in the 100M hurdles (2nd), and 300 M Hurdles (1st) and triple jump (1st). The JV girls also achieved success in the relays, winning the Sprint Medley Relay and placing 3rd in the 4x400M.
The teams next compete at the Canyon Lake Hawks Relays on February 22, 2024.
