On Monday, February 5th, the boys and girls golf teams kicked off the 2024 spring season at the Regents Invitational at Lakecliff Country Club.
The boys team finished in 5th place, led by Harrison Knight (‘25) who shot a 5-over par score of 76, finishing in 4th place individually – only four shots behind the winner. The weather conditions were extreme, with winds near 30mph and wind chills in the 40’s with only 9 scores below 80 out of a field of over 100 players. This was a very strong performance by Harrison and a sign of good things to come for him this season.
Our girls team is represented by Victoria Hernandez (‘27), and she, too, battled extreme weather to post a score of 102, to finish tied for 13th place. A good start to the season as she thinks about District and Regionals.
Our next tournament is Monday, February 26th for Regents Invitational #2.
