BOYS BASKETBALL MAKING AREA HEADLINES

The varsity boys basketball team has been making an appearance in the Austin American-Statesman over the holiday break, ranking them #2 in the Austin area across all high school classifications behind Stony Point – St. Michael’s is currently 25-1. In a stand-out game against New Braunfels (71-64), Aiden Disu (‘25) had 26 points and nine rebounds and Bo Ogden (‘25) put up 22 points and seven boards.

A recent article from the Statesman named the boys basketball team an Austin-Area Powerhouse, referring to them as the most entertaining to watch with “impressive ball movement, tempo and shooting”. Head coach Cooper Land talks about the team as “extremely talented and unselfish”, with Hayes Pounds (‘24) also commenting on the team’s chemistry and close culture.

We are so proud of the entire team’s accomplishments this season and are looking forward to what you all can do! Congratulations on a well-earned season so far!
