On Friday, August 28, the SMCA dance team traveled to San Marcos to compete in this year's weekend-long UDA Dance Camp. The girls returned with multiple honors, including a Superior Award for the most ribbons earned at camp and a spirit stick. They finished in 5th place with their Home Routine and received invitations to UDA Nationals in Orlando, Florida, as well as to perform at the Citrus Bowl.
Vivi Kroll ('24) and Christina Zuniga ('25) were honored with Pin It Forwards awards – a prestigious award that is given by UDA camp staff to dancers that have qualities that make them stand out, including being a leader, going above and beyond in routines, and having great spirit every day.
Three SMCA dancers were also honored as All-American Dancers – Vivi Kroll ('24), Isa Creixell ('25), and Charli Vinklarek ('27). As All-Americans, they are invited to perform at special events across the country to showcase their dance skills.
