Champions, PR's at State Track Meet
JaHazniah Griffin ('23) continued his dominance at the TAPPS state meet, becoming a double-repeat champion two years in a row. Throwing a 154' 11" in the discus and a 53' 8" in the shot put secured his first-place title in class 5A.

Additional outstanding performances in the field events were Zander Romero ('23), who placed 2nd in the long jump with a 22’ 6 ¼” leap, and Cole Nguyen ('25), who placed 2nd in the pole vault with a 12' 0" jump. Both Zander and Cole set personal records on their way to securing their second-place finishes.

The team was also represented at the state meet by Bo Odgen ('26) with a 5th place 41' 9" triple jump performance, Nehemiah Griffin ('25) placing 5th in the shot put with a 44’ 1 ½” throw, and Gabriel Estrada ('23), placing 6th in both the 800M and 1600M with a time of 2:01.53 and 4:38.58, respectively. The 4x400M relay team of Blake Mikell ('23), Bo Ogden ('26), Ethan Dang ('25), and Jason Stokes Jr. ('25) ran a time of 3:27.04 with a 5th place finish.

The team ended the state meet in 7th place overall.
