Tyler Moore

Coach Moore is entering his 16th year coaching and 2nd year as the head of the SMCA/SGCS program. He is a member of Crossroads Community Church and an alumnus of the University of Texas. He lives in Cedar Park with his wife, Rachel, and his son, Tyson.

Having been coaching in the Austin community for more than 10 years, he has had a major impact on the development of the sport. Coach Moore was a founder of the Texas Tomahawks Lacrosse club in north Austin, grew the Cannons Lacrosse Club during COVID, founded the Austin Allies select team, coached the semi-pro Austin Jazz indoor lacrosse team, and directed the first athletic program unified under SMCA and SGCS. His most recent project has been building the Texas Wild Lacrosse Club, a coordination of south Austin area programs to provide developmental opportunities for beginner and intermediate players.

Tyler’s primary focus as a coach is developing a safe, honest, and intentional team culture ready to win championships. Coach Moore is also trained as an athletic performance trainer, focusing on speed and agility. In this role, he has worked with star athletes from as young as 8 to professionals, including a member of the national US Women’s Lacrosse Team, NFL draft picks, and dozens of star high school athletes.
